Perfect Tennis Serve – Add Some “Flair”

If you want to have the perfect tennis serve, one that is completely unstoppable then you want to add some flair to it.

What do you mean by flair?

I mean something that will make your opponent look like an amateur as your serve flies past them. There are many types of serves you can use with one of the most popular being the kick serve.

With enough practice you can create a kick serve that will be impossible for most of your opponents to return and harder for the rest to return accurately.

Check out the video below at the kick serve and see how much height is added onto it to, the combination of power, speed and height on a kick will give you the perfect tennis serve that will be impossible for your opponents to stop!

Fix My Serve – Pain In Shoulder When Serving

When I was trying to fix my serve one problem I found common was the fact that I started to feel a lot of pain in my shoulder. Many of you would have felt this as well if you are going through many tennis serve exercises and tennis exercises without taking a break.

One of the main body parts used in tennis is your shoulder and by performing the serving motion tons of times there is a chance that you can injure your shoulder (most commonly known as a rotator cuff injury).

  • What Can I Do To Reduce The Pain?

The best thing to do is to rest the arm which may mean sacrificing a few serve sessions but in return you will get back on top of your game and won’t make the injury worse.
You may see inflammation which you can easily reduce (along with pain) by using an ice-pack on the area for 15-20 mins. This will reduce pain and inflammation in the shoulder just like anti-inflammatory medication but it won’t make you sick or mask the injury.

  • What can I do to prevent further injury?

REST! When you start feeling a bit of pain don’t continue on with your sessions rest! If you continue going you can end up injuring yourself further and this could lead to a prolonged recovery time which is something you don’t want to happen!

  • How can I prevent future injury?

The main reason you will find that you are injured is because you have weak joints. The best way to prevent future injury is to strengthen your shoulder with tennis exercises which will help you strengthen your shoulder and reduce the chances of injury!

Tennis Serve Exercises - Standing Tricep Extension [Tennis Serve Power]

Tennis serve exercises are a great way to improve the strenght and power of your serve. Why? The tennis serve is one and if not THE most important stroke in tennis as it sets the pace for the match. If you manage to hit a consistent serve throughout the game which is fuelled with power and accuracy the your oppoennt will be on the defensive all throughout the game. However if you hit a rubbish serve all the way through then you will find yoursel on the defensive and your opponent on the offinsive which is a place you don't want to be in. The best way to start creating this killer serve is to increase the power of your serve with some tennis serve exercises.

Standing Tricep Extension
An exercise that will help you increase the strength in your serve is the standing tricep extension which is very simple but is also VERY effective!

For this you will need a weight that you are comfortable lifting 10-15 reps with.

  1. Hold that weight in one of your hands
  2. Bring that hand up above your head straightening your arm
  3. Bring the weight down (bending at the elbow) behind your head
  4. Bring it back up to a straight position
  5. Repeat 10-15 times

This is one of the many tennis serve exercises that you will greatly benefit from so make sure you include it in your exercise routine.
